Dear Owners:
As you may have heard, over the last several months, with the help of volunteers Lance Keashly and Nigel Terrett, we have been working to improve the internet access at Paradise Park. Our old system was installed before so many park sites had computers, iPads and smart phones. These new device demands have been putting a heavy burden on the system – particularly during the summer months. After analysis was completed it was confirmed that we needed to complete two areas of improvement:
Greetings All;
I have been asked by owners for an update on the various projects going on in the Park so to keep everyone in the loop I`m providing this summary.
Paradise Park Owners:
Unfortunately, I feel compelled to send out this reminder on expectations of a Paradise Park owner. The following two paragraphs are from our “New Owner’s Package” and I believe they state correctly how the Park should operate. However, I am concerned by recent events and actions by a few individuals. I believe that there is a need to provide this reminder of the friendly Park atmosphere that we are all trying to achieve.
As you may recall, in Dec/2012 I sent out an email to the Park owners detailing the planned action following the BC Safety Authority Gas and Electrical Inspector visits. For the electrical, the initial plan was to look at the power boxes on a few lots to get an idea of their condition and compliance to the electrical code. The electrical boxes on 12 lots have been inspected by an electrician and a number of electrical issues have been found. Since I plan to discuss electrical issues in detail at our AGM on April 27/13 I thought it would be best to provide you with the findings from the 12 lots inspected.
The following letter was received from the Town of Osoyoos in the matter of altering recreational and park model trailers:
Paradise Park has 2 sheds for recycling, located on the path to the beach. The shed closest to the road is for pop cans, beer cans, and any containers that have a deposit when you purchase them. The second shed closest to the beach is for other materials that can be recycled but no deposit has been paid on them. For a full list of what can be recycled go to Return It.
The recycle shed is manned by volunteers, so please keep it neat, tidy and organized.
