Paradise Park News & Updates

Good afternoon everyone;

Here is the latest information that I have as of today May 22;

Still no power and there is still about 2' of water in the farthest south corner of the park so the power will not be turned on until that recedes lower than the power boxes.

Mau 22 2018 2They are still saying that the water could come up in the next week another foot but as of today it is slowly going down. Currently the water level is covering the first row of lots and part of the roadway behind them in most areas.

Still no sewer working, the same for this system as the power, as the water recedes, it will be turned on.

For those owners who have been effected by the rising water there are a couple of items you need to attend to, water level permitting.

  1. you might want to open up the area under your unit so that the air can help to dry things out, if not the mould and smell may affect you.
  2. it is the property owners responsibility to clean up their own lots.
  3. when the power is returned, the association will be turning the power on to each breaker box, but from the breaker box to your unit is your responsibility and cost if there is a problem.
    We will not be turning the power on to each unit, that is your job.
  4. we as neighbours will be helping each other to clean the roadways and beaches up so we can all use them, your executive would greatly appreciate everyone pitching in to get these jobs done, when the time is right.

The pool is filled but the heat is not turned on and "will not" be turned on until the park is open and we have enough people there to justify the cost.

Currently the people that are in the park are helping to keep the upper washrooms clean, so if you are using them, kindly make every effort to help keep them clean.

Remember that our 2018 AGM is going to be held at the Legion on Saturday June 16, so please make every effort to attend.

Have a great day.

Recycling

Paradise Park has 2 sheds for recycling, located on the path to the beach. The shed closest to the road is for pop cans, beer cans, and any containers that have a deposit when you purchase them. The second shed closest to the beach is for other materials that can be recycled but no deposit has been paid on them. For a full list of what can be recycled go to Return It.

The recycle shed is manned by volunteers, so please keep it neat, tidy and organized.
